We regret to announce that StandBy will end its service on October 31, 2026.
The mobile app, the web dashboard, and the API and MCP server will all be discontinued at the same time. We are deeply grateful to everyone who has used StandBy.
There are three things we ask you to check before the service ends.
1. About your paid plan
We have stopped all active paid plans.
We will issue prorated refunds by the end of October.
You will not be charged from next month onward. You do not need to cancel your plan yourself.
Example: for a plan that renews on the 15th of each month and costs $100 per month (the amount is hypothetical, for illustration only), we will refund the 19 days from October 27 to November 14.
Refund = $100 × 19 days ÷ 31 days ≈ $61.29
2. How to export your data
At 23:59 JST on Thursday, November 5, 2026, we will delete all data, including lifelogs, transcriptions, notes, DMs, tasks, and audio.
Deleted data cannot be restored. If there is anything you want to keep, please save it before then by following these steps.
- Go to https://platform.stand-by.ai/login and sign in with the same account you use in the app
- On the settings page, press the 「データをエクスポート」 (Export data) button
- A ZIP file (JSON and Markdown) will be downloaded. Keep the browser open until it finishes
If you have a lot of data, we recommend using Chrome or Edge on a computer.
Other browsers may split the download into several ZIP files. The ZIP files are not encrypted, so please store them somewhere safe.
If your computer does not have enough free space, please export to Google Drive instead.
The export to Google Drive runs on our server using a temporary authentication token, so you can close your browser while it runs.
3. Why we are ending the service, and about data breaches
StandBy holds highly personal data, such as the audio of your daily conversations and records of your activities.
Data breaches have become increasingly common across many companies and services, and the standard required to keep this kind of data safe keeps rising every year.
After considering whether we could sustain that level of protection over the long term, we decided to end the service.
To be clear, we have not found any data breach or unauthorized access involving StandBy to date. This shutdown is not the result of any incident. We will continue to manage your data properly until the day it is deleted.
